With the fast-evolving threat of coronavirus, we are in unprecedented territory. We understand the anxiety many people may feel. Rest assured, you can count on Navitus to live up to our mission to lower drug costs, improve health and provide superior customer service in a manner that earns your trust and confidence during this difficult time.

The health and well-being of all people is at the core of what we do, and the plan we have in place ensures that all of our stakeholders -- plan sponsors, employers, pharmacists, and members -- receive the care and support they have come to expect from us.

open for business

As we work through this public health emergency, our primary goal is to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. Our continuity plan is allowing our employees to stay out of harm’s way with remote work capabilities. For our clients, that means they will still receive the service and support they’ve come to expect from Navitus. For members, that means that our best-in-class Customer Care Center will remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer questions and address their concerns.

Medication availability

Over the past few weeks, many of the member calls into Customer Care have been about potential drug shortages. We are carefully monitoring potential shortages of both specialty and non-specialty medications. While the situation is fluid, Navitus has contingency plans in place to update coverage for alternative products, should that become necessary.

POTENTIAL covid-19 TREATMENTS

While no validated treatments for COVID-19 have been identified, Navitus is monitoring existing and emerging studies. As we learn more about which products could be used, we will review utilization management strategies to allow for appropriate use.

If we take away nothing else from this pandemic, we must learn that we are all in this together. As a first step, everyone should understand the facts about the coronavirus and how transmission can be prevented. We all play a vital role in its containment.
